Crispy Anchovy Fish Snack

This was the Crispy Anchovy Fish Snack I bought in Pangkor Island. It is only RM4.00 per packet. You can get it from most of the stalls in Pangkor Island.

This is a product of Malaysia. You can check out all the ingredients and distributors here.

So this is how it looks like. It is not a big packet. So yeah!!! Very crispy and doesn't even taste a bit like anchovies.... Love it. Just like snacks.

Amu Coconut Villa Seafood Restaurant

Judging by its name, it is obviously famous for its seafood. Amu Coconut Seafood Restaurant is located at 523, Lorong Satu, Kampung Cina, 32000, Sitiawan, Perak, Malaysia. Their contact number, +6012-5708835

The entrance leading to the restaurant.

This is how the restaurant looks like.

Coconut water is what I need after a whole day of this hot weather. It is really refreshing. It is not chilled but they provide you ice cubes that you can insert it yourself. RM3.00 per coconut.

The famous and everybody's favourite chili sauce. Kampung Koh Chili Sauce.

Deep fried fish. Small fish that are deep fried until crispy. I really love this. Even the tail and some of the bones are edible.

Vegetables (yau mak choi), a bit bitter but still considered okay. Not much garlic but still can taste that it was cooked with garlic.
Squid again. Love it. All those onion and ginger that comes with it makes it so delicious and smells so good. The squid isn't to tough as well. Just right.

Last but not least, salted eggs cooked with crab. This is the best of all dishes, I would say. Though you need to use your hands to eat it, but you will really enjoy licking every bit of the salted eggs off your finger. Not big crabs but still okay.

Rice.... White rice in the correct portion. The meal with 7 white rice, 1 coke, 6 coconut, 4 dishes, sums up to RM158.00.

Sunny Meadow

Sunny Meadow is a product of Australia. The spread comes in various types. I've always preferred Olive Oil. If you would think it's gonna cost you an arm and a leg, you are wrong then. It is only RM8.99 in Giant, Sunway City Ipoh. Cheap isn't it? For 500 grams. This spread can be used for cooking, baking and spreading. Cool right? 3 in 1. It also contains Omega 3 & 6, no cholesterol, and vitamin E. Totally worth buying if you would like to compare its price to other spreads in the market.

Restaurant Sam Poh

Restaurant Sam Poh is a restaurant that serves home cook dishes. First, it started off with only one shop, but now it has been extended into two shops. One with fans (old) and one air conditioned (new). They are just next to each other. The restaurant is located at 17, Persiaran Bandar Baru 16, Desa Tambun Indah, 31400 Ipoh Perak.
Recently, I found out that there was a new shop near Kampar Garden (next to Ficca's Cafe), at Persiaran Centrepoint 1, also by the name Sam Poh with the exact signboard. I can see that their business is really good.

Restaurant Sam Poh only serves you dinner because it opens from 5.00 pm to 10.30 pm. This restaurant only accept cash, no credit cards please. This is their menu.

Wait for the boss to take your order and food will be served shortly.

A teapot of chinese tea that comes with glasses so you can put in some ice in this hot weather.

They serve you white rice. Mmm...

Here comes the fish. Its Teochew Style Steamed Fish. It taste sour and salty. Steamed with taufu, tomatoes, ginger and salted vegetable. Taste really awesome. Everyone should try this. Awesome.

Vegetables with belacan. Its a bit salty. Maybe next time one should request it to be cooked

( Za choi chong yau beancurd). Soft and nice. Really love it. Its kind of special, unlike normal beancurds. You should really order this. Mmmm....

So, our dinner tonight sums up to RM59.30 for four pax. Their dishes are worth the price and its an enjoyable meal I would say.

Restoran Qi Ling Ge

This is restauarant Qi Ling Ge in Kuala Lumpur. It is located at 36 & 36A, Jalan Kaskas 2,Taman Cheras 56100 Kuala Lumpur. Their contact number, 010-2888851. It is a fully air conditioned restaurant. A really good atmosphere for dining.

Just to warn you, you need to pass through these electric wires before entering the restaurant. I guess you already know what is up there. If you think they are birds, BINGO! Yes, a lot of birds. Just beware and walk faster to avoid getting poop on yourself.

It is open from 12.00pm to 3.00pm and 6.00pm to 11.00pm. There are two available tables outside as well.

As you enter, you will be greeted by voices of people chit chatting. Really crowded, hardly can find a table to fit a big family. Lucky us, the waitress told us there are more spaces upstairs.

This is the stairs which leads us up to the second floor.

So, this is the second floor. Not crowded at all. A peaceful place for eating....

Here comes the plates, cutleries, garlic and chili.

Next, order you food. This is their menu.

After a moment, rice will be served. They don't serve you plate by plate, but instead, a bucket of rice where you can scoop yourself.

This is the fish that we ordered. I've never heard of this anywhere. It is called Lemon Steamed Talapia. Really really awesome. I don't know how many garlic they put in. 1 kg?? It is so much, the soup base is full of garlic, ginger, lemon grass, bunga kantan, kaffir leaves and many more. Really nice. A sour taste, almost like tom yam. Mmmm.... So special. Love it to the core. I would really like to try this again. Its never really enough. Ahhh!!!!

This is their golden tofu. Minced meat with spring onions. The tofu is really soft and nice. Not salty, just the correct taste. Mmmm....

This is their Mongolian Pork Ribs. It comes with some appetizers, the preserved carrots. By the way, the mongolian pork ribs are really tasty. Love it. Not much meat, its ribs right?

This is their salted egg squid. Also comes with appetizers. Fried with kaffir leaves to give it a better taste. The taste of salted egg is really good. Not too salty for salted eggs. The squids are not too tough, just the correct texture. Love it.

This is their Nai Bai or Nai Bak in Cantonese. Can you see the garlic? So awesome... They are really generous in putting garlic in those dishes. Love this as well. Mmmm.... Vegetables are at the correct texture as well. Mmm......

Last but not least, complimentary fruits. Oranges and green apples. Very refreshing. Mmm..... Great dessert.

This is their reciept or bill. It all sums up to RM137.00 for 7 person. I guess the food is worth the price I would say. I'll be back one day because I really love the food over here.

Restaurant Kan Nan

Restaurant Kan Nan is a newly open restaurant. Around that area, there are another few new restaurants but I've chose to come to this one. Restaurant Kan Nan is located in Jalan Centrepoint 1, Pinji Centre Point, 31650, Ipoh Perak, somewhere near Kampar Garden.

The restaurant is quite packed. Mostly retired people having a teapot of tea while chatting with their old buddies. What is there to eat over here? Chee cheong fun, dry curry noodles, economy rice, wanton noodles and more.
Prices for drinks are really reasonable. RM1.60 for the white coffee and RM1.40 for Kopi O. RM3.00 for both. Not to say cheap are no good, these are just as good as other coffee shops. Of course, you don't compare it with Sun Yuan Loong, or Nam Heong....

Dry curry noodles. Remember that dry curry noodles in restaurant Ngai Seng that later relocated in Ex Lover cafe. Now, it is relocated again to Restaurant Kan Nan. Still the same price, RM 5.50 per plate. Nice. Love the curry.

Chee cheong fun with mushroom sauce. I've ask for a takeaway. So, this is a shot of the chee cheong fun in the plastic. RM3.50 only. Really reasonable and nice. The mushroom smells really good.
