Restoran Moon De Moon
Restaurant Moon De Moon, is famous for their Shredded Chicken Hor Fun (Kai Si Hor Fun) and their Dry Curry Noodle. Located at Lot 148, Hala Wah Keong, Taman Mirindi, 31400 Ipoh, Perak. Open from 7.30 am to 12.00 pm.
Restaurant Moon De Moon. Its quite crowded and the place is clean too. A very comfortable environment as you can get free smell of every other food in the restaurant.
What else to order if its not coffee? In Ipoh, drinking coffee is a must. So, this is Kopi O Ice and Kopi Ice. RM3.60 for both.
Since its my first time here, I would like to try out the dry curry noodle first. Really delicious. Comes with pieces of chicken and potatoes and not forgetting the lime. Lime does makes everything taste better. The gravy which is the curry, its slightly thicker than normal dry curry gravy, Love it. RM4.50 per plate. It is advisable to come earlier as it might be sold out by 11 am.
Today, there's this group of people, probably tourists, came about 11 am to order shredded chicken hor fun. Then, they were told that is was sold out. Then, they thought about the dry curry noodle. Unfortunately, it was sold out as well. So, they don't have much choice but eat other food such as the Chee Cheong Fun and Western Food. This has shown how famous it is.

Steps:
1. Put oil, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and coriander in a pan to fry.
2. Then, add in the chopped pork.
3. Stir fried until it turns golden brown.

8 1/2 Hong Kong Dim Sum BFB
61, Persiaran Bandar Baru Tambun 16, Taman Ipoh Impian, Ipoh Garden, Perak, 31400, Malaysia. DIM SUM here I come. Opens at 6.30am to 1.30 pm . Contact number, +60 14-947 0811. Located at the left corner of the shops.
Their menu. So much choice.
Very busy environment. Look at everyone. They came to enjoy good food. So, be there earlier to get a place to sit.
This should be something new...Steam meat wrapped with bacon. OMG!!! So delicious and that smoky smell of the bacon...... This should be RM6.40. Yeah, seem to be a bit costly but its worth the price.
Century egg roll or "pei dan guin". Really awesome, consisting century egg, pickled ginger, meat and others. Dip into the mayonnaise for a better taste. This is really crispy too.
Prawn roll or 'har guin' is my family's all time favourites. Juicy prawns with a crispy layer on top. Mmmm... Dip into the mayonnaise for better taste. It comes in a plate of 3.
"Yong Liu" looks nice. Brinjal, chili, and beancurd. All stuffed with ground meat or fish paste. It is also a Hakka specialty. Love them.
This is another fried thing with prawn. I don't know why most of the dim sum comes with prawns. However this is crispy without mayonnaise and with some vegetable in it.
Next, prawns again. Comes with a plate of 3. " Har gau", with a translucent springy skin. There's prawns in there too. Its best eaten with chili sauce.
"Yu mai" are large fishballs. Very springy and comes in a plate of 3.A very nice texture, not too lumpy or tough. Best eaten with chili sauce.
"Wu kok" is a yam filling pastry. The outer layer are yam, and filled with filling from the inside. Best eaten while its still crispy and warm. Love it so much.
There's one more thing here that I didn't get the chance to try. Its called the "Lau sar pau". A pink skin pau with liquid filling. The liquid filling are actually made out of salted egg. Not too salty and not too sweet. A bit of everything. Take your bite carefully, or it'll spill out.
This the order form, you will need to pay an amount of 6% of GST here.

All In Cafe @ Ipoh Old Town
Round 2.... Just kinda miss the old town for now because there are more good food than before. Even by the roadsides are stalls selling all kinds of food. Just before entering All In Cafe, I saw this rice dumplings (gan sui zong, 碱水粽) for sale. I just need to get some of those.
So, this is the stall. Not only rice dumplings, but whatever they are grilling there looks awesomely delicious. All those meat..... Mmmmm... I guess they are RM2 - RM3 each. Some of them looked like jumbo sausages. If you are not getting them, its okay, smelling is free of charge.
Look at the crowd. All wanted to get some food.
We bought the dumplings, RM5.00 for a bunch. 10 dumplings per bunch and comes with some gula melaka sauce.
This is how it looks like. No filling, so dip into the gula melaka for a better taste.
Now, we are in All In Cafe once again. Always the all time favourites, White Coffee. Wonderful taste. RM1.90 each.
Next, the Kopi O. Black coffee without milk. Rich and nice. RM1.80 each.
Now, FOOD TIME!!! Let's have something different this time. Not always the same food. Try something new and enjoy your life to the fullest. Crispy roasted pork rice. Its quite nice. RM5.00 per plate.
Sticky Rice with curry chicken. My favourite. Just a small amount of sticky rice but its feeling. The potatoes and chicken are cooked. The curry taste good too. Even how much curry you offer, I'll still take it. RM6.50 per plate.
Hakka Noodle. A big plate but cheap. RM3.00 per plate. Comes with minced pork and beansprouts. Though less ingredients but its still delicious.
So this is the receipt. 1 hakka noodle, 1 sticky rice with curry, 2 crispy roasted pork rice, 3 white coffee and 1 kopi o. All adds up to RM27.00. An affordable meal isn't it?
Next, in the restaurant, there's this stall that sells egg tarts. Their egg tarts are really famous until you have to make reservations in order to get them.
It's called the Egg Tarts King. Probably the Kings of all Egg Tarts?
This is their price list. Sorry but I can't read Chinese.
Am I that lucky, there's somemore left for me?
Their original egg tarts are actually still available without making any reservation. How lucky! Normally, there wouldn't be any left if you did not make any reservations. Egg tarts, RM1.60 each. They are really awesome. Really worth eating. If you made it All In Cafe without eating this, it is such a waste.
The great thing about this egg tart is that it have a solid shape. Unlike other egg tarts, when you start to hold on to them, they just collapse!!!! But this is different, the pastry or the filling, both very solid. Solid but not tough. Its still fluffy and soft but in shape.
From the inside, the stall looks like this. See, he is so busy baking the next batch.
Oh!!!! Look at those freshly baked Portugese Egg Tarts. Unfortunately, all are reserved. How sad is that. They look really delicious. At least I got to smell them.
Before leaving, I manage to take away 2 pandan egg tarts and 2 siu pau. All for RM7.60. I'm not sure how much each cost but its still worth the price. YAY!!!!

Nasi Lemak!!! Looks so traditional. Half hard boiled egg, peanuts, anchovies and sambal. Nice!!!
Black Pepper Chicken Chop Rice!!! Really nice. Love it so much!!!
Honey Chicken Chop Rice!!! The taste of sweetness in the honey and it blends well with the rice and the egg.
Kulo Chicken Rice. I think its sweet and sour sauce. Really crispy and nice
